GLMA: Georgia Library Media Association

The GLMA  supports Media Specialists in Georgia. Participants in this association have an opportunity to influence topics relating to the School Library Program across the state.  GLMA provides media specialists an opportunity to share information, concerns, and provide support for one another. 

ISTE: International Society for Technology in Education

ISTE is one of the most beneficial organizations for helping educators understand and use technology as a means for solving problems as well as a tool for connecting with others on a global scale. Being a part of the ISTE community would allow me to work with others in my field who recognize the importance of educational technology. Having access to ISTE standards, and help with implementation and assessment of educational technology will be vital in my success as a Media Specialists.
